Agreement For Visitor Visa
Japan has taken steps with respect to visa waiver agreements with 68 countries and regions, as shown in the graph below. However, at present, in the following countries/regions, visa waiver measures have been suspended for the time being, with the exception of shady countries/regions (Note 9), as borderline measures against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). While visa-free regimes come into effect, nationals and citizens of the countries and regions listed below are not required to obtain visas to enter Japan if their visits are tourism, trade, conferences, visits from relatives/acquaintances, etc. However, when foreign nationals engage in remunerated activities in Japan or their periods of stay exceed the limits set by each country`s short-stay agreement, visas are subject to the requirement to enter Japan. . . .
